Your Path Fi
Flat-fee retirement planner helping retirees and near-retirees build tax-efficient retirement income plans. No commissions, no product sales.
Hi! I’m Ryan Langan, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and the Founder of Your Path Fi, a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm. I help pre-retirees and retirees gain financial clarity, use their money to live impactful lives, and create their unique path through retirement. After spending nearly a decade in the financial planning industry, I discovered many common drawbacks of traditional financial planning services. I noticed a focus on revenue rather than relationships. Planning wasn’t always holistic, especially with a lack of tax planning. Fees were unclear and typically based on a percentage of investment assets, in addition to using high-cost investments. This led me to start Your Path Fi based on these core principles: Relationships First: Our focus is building relationships, defining your purpose, and helping you achieve your dream retirement. Holistic Planning: A doctor wouldn't provide a diagnosis without checking your vitals and running blood work. To create a true retirement plan, you must address every aspect of your financial life. Transparent & Fair Fees: A larger investment portfolio doesn't necessarily equate to more work. So why pay more just because you have a larger investment portfolio? We charge a flat annual fee that is not a percentage of your investment portfolio. Passive Investing: We believe passive index investing is the most efficient way to build and maintain wealth over time. Active investment management is costly and not as tax-efficient, and consistently beating the market over long periods is difficult. I set out to be a difference-maker in the financial planning world and to expand access to personalized financial planning. I intend to serve a limited number of individuals and families at a high level so that I can dedicate my time and efforts to providing you with a deep relationship-based experience centered around empowering you to use your money to achieve the retirement you want. Outside of financial planning, I enjoy experiencing life with my wife Haley, our son Luke, and our rescue pup Tucker, traveling to new places, staying active outdoors and in the gym, and of course, Sunday dinners with my family hosted by my chef brother. I'm proud to be different from your typical financial advisor. ✅ Retirement Planning Focus: I don’t take a generalist approach. Retirement planning is my specialty as I focus on helping you reach retirement and make the most of your retirement. ✅ Tax Planning: Many advisors avoid tax planning. I understand the importance of tax planning as part of your overall plan, and use my extensive tax background to incorporate tax efficiency and minimization into your plan. ✅ Transparent Fees: I love transparency, and you deserve to know what you are paying your advisor. I am proud to be fee-only, meaning I do not sell products or receive commissions. My sole source of revenue is from the planning advice I provide you. I charge a flat annual planning fee that is not a percentage of your investment assets. ✅ Independent: I am not associated with any bank, brokerage, or insurance company. This allows me to offer true holistic financial advice without following a corporate agenda that restricts me or pressures me to provide advice only in certain areas. ✅ Proactive & Deep Relationships: You are not just an account number or investment portfolio balance. I believe true retirement planning starts with defining and understanding your purpose, and I am genuinely interested in helping you define your purpose. I intend to serve a limited number of individuals/couples, allowing me to deliver a highly personal and proactive planning relationship. ✅ Virtual: I am located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but can work virtually with anyone in the U.S.
